Scratch building is the method of creating scale models from raw materials, rather than building it from a commercial kit or buying it pre-assembled. There’s a wide range of materials that can be used in scratch building, such as metal, clay, wood, polymers, textiles or even paper. Creating models from scratch is a passion that takes a lot of patience and dedication, and the end result is always rewarding.

Welcome to NIel Arts Infinity

Hi, my name is Nathaniel Rondain and I’m a hobbyist. I’ve been scratch building on and off for more than 20 years now. I started creating robot models from cardboard materials when I was 12 and moved to creating human figures using plaster of Paris in my teens. The materials I used evolved thru the years, currently, I am using polystyrene sheets and polymer clay. The name of this site was a signature I used in my drawings when I was still a kid, guess I'm still fascinated with the infinity sign until now.

Check out my works in the "Gallery" section. I also posted my other works (not related to scratch building) in the "Others" section.

If you appreciate art, in whatever form it is, you’ve come to the right place!

Hope you enjoy!
